Halloween Everyday

November has been sucked into the darkness with a series of enjoyable gigs and we are now facing the season of tinsel and tat. Mr Crow is working on his beer gut so it extends nicely into a gothic santa costume. Islhoff is growing his beard longer. Scary Jane gets out her book of Christmas songs.....

"We are not doing any of them! not dark enough, in our world it is Halloween every day!"

"But you said I could do The pogues!" protests Madam Boubliers..."and only a few of our songs have a darker tint! Christmas has light in the darkness!"

"Can I do in the bleak midwinter then" Islhoff asks, practicing his best church vocals, as the other three continue to debate christmas music. The ginger dog joins in with his best howl.

At this point I think it is best Introduce you to the latest member of the band, Madam Boubliers! Whence she appeared is a mystery and perhaps it is best not to ask questions, Mr Crow tells us she is from the mist kissed hills of County Blarney via the palace of Versailles. The beauty in her voice, the way her hands and smile play across the fiddle....there may have been hypnotism involved. Did she fall under the dark stare of Mr Crow, or did he get called by the siren in her voice..........we will never be sure. That slight smile from Scary Jane hints at magic and witchcraft, and there is no point fighting the twisting wheel of fortune.

What ever the magic, her musical talent, and wild red hair is begining to infiltrate the music; sparking even more connections into the gothic folk sounds as she gets swirled into the jazz like freedom of the songs. Their future is going to be interesting....The four of them working out how to shrink into the microsm of the open mics spaces to practice their arts....more magic is going to be required.

So can I sing in the Bleak Midwinter then?

No, all three say together in stunning harmony, that rings around the table

Islhoff looks dissapointed....and then asks....why are you called Madam Boubliers?
