Monday Rehearsals....Part One....Blue Berry Breakfast

Mondays, well some of them, when the wild is howling, and the rain smashing into the window; we escape into our strange world of song.

Mr Crow munching 'tea dipped' malted milk biscuits, as we stare into an alternative reality. These are the days we dip into ideas, unite words with melodies.

"I need a gentle song in the set!" Scary Jane suggests... "A breather... a song that allows me to not drive my 12 string at velocities that risk creating a sonic boom. You know... A gentle wander in four short verses through the healing of a broken love; rather than it being ripped apart by the undead! Mr Crow's soggy biscuit breaks and topples back into his tea! Amidst the splash Scary Jane admits "I just happen to have written one"

Mr Crow looks at her as he balances the concept in his mind.

Islhoff, taking the pause as an opportunity reveals his new, handmade Tall Black Hat.....

"This will be my singing hat" he adds as Mr Crow stares, and Scary Jane puts down her battered plectrum as begins to slowly finger-pick a mellow tune.

Mr Crow reaches for another biscuit, dips it more successfully, and shoves it whole into his mouth. The finger picking finds a calm rhythm, as he picks up the Ewi and joining in the continuum......a new song take flight..............a tale of broken first love, finding peace.

'Slightly soaked in a red wine haze, we drank last night remembering days.

We sang in the house where the lighting struck, and our tangled love ran out of luck

But the music stole our hearts for a lifetime

Sharing our songs in face-book posts, as the passing years chased away the ghosts

Telling stories of the years gone by, the hearts we shared and the things we tried

And the music stole our hearts for a life time

New songs form in the spring sun, white cat stretching as I strum

Guitar singing on a summers night, sending out love, as i know you're happy too

And the music stole our hearts fro a lifetime

"Big solo moment Pete".......

Sunshine, in deep blue skies, bees dance and starlings fly

Blueberry breakfast with hot sweet tea, gone is the darkness and we are free

And the music healed our hearts for a lifetime'

"Film it before we forget it! I Like it!' Mr Crow says tripping over the cable as he tries to get up his phone before our collection of ADHD and dyslexia spin what we just did into the land of the lost.

"I am not singing it right yet! Scary Jane tells him,

...as he hits record.......
